ACT Inc. is a privately owned company, specializing in helping individuals continue to drive safely for as long as possible. Established in 1998, ACT Inc. focuses on driver evaluation, driver retraining and vehicle modification (passenger and/or driver) for mature adults and people with medical conditions. Our services support evidence-based practice, and are applied using state-of-the-art equipment and current industry resources. ACT Inc. is the authorized DriveABLE™ centre in Montreal.
New Hope has used ACT to screen our volunteer drivers for over six years. Screening is very important to us. All new drivers are tested to ensure that they meet safety standards.
Our volunteers drive the senior members to and from home, New Hope, as well as to deliver Meals on Wheels. We need our drivers to be very capable!
New volunteers are often hesitant or nervous about being tested at ACT but always come away from the experience both relieved and comfortable. They always comment on how easy and nonthreatening the testing is. I have even gone through the testing myself.
New Hope gets a better rate of car insurance because we get every new driver tested at ACT.
